These types of vases are not watertight. Therefore we advise it as not being water safe. We highly recommend artificial plants, or any ceramic decoration (not included). However if it is being using with real plants rather than artificial we strongly recommend you give your plants a good soak in the sink and letting the vase drain fully before placing back on it's preferred location each time it requires a water.
